Job Description
The role is responsible for co-ordinating from an administrative, as well as systems perspective advice in respect of Time and SAP Systems, their utilisation and operational support.
This role is responsible to maintain, co-ordinate and optimize the usage of all the applicable software systems, including SAP. The role needs to initiate appropriate interventions to optimize the performance of all the systems, such as training, day-to-day guidance, upgrading, trend analysis and report writing.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Monitor employee systems for accuracy
- Interpretation of Systems policies and Procedures
- Provide a consultancy service to managers to resolve employee and operational queries
- Speedy and effective respond to queries or problems by Operations
- Investigation into errors that may occur during Time process
- Prepare accurate reports and related documentation as required.
- Monitor systems operations, identify potential problems and report
- Implement new, more effective systems when required
- Support Payroll Administration Team members
- Analyse reports and data for accuracy
- Ensure that required job instructions are available to employees
- Implement and maintain applicable Safety Regulations, The Act, Codes of practice and standards
- Complete safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports
- Establish procedures for abnormal work requirements which fall outside of standard procedures
- Ensure that accurate labour records including overtime worked are maintained
- Prepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customers
- Analyze cause of system problems and make recommendations for solutions
- Prioritise and manage IT-related work requests effectively.
- Conduct testing of system changes to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Maintain and regularly update systems documentation.
- Identify and assess training needs for system users.
- Ensure the proper preservation and management of departmental records and statistics.
- Oversee and complete audit administration requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all engineering administration standards and requirements.
Qualifications
- NQF 7 Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in Human Resource, IT or related qualification.
Experience
- At least 5 years related experience, of which two years in a specialist Time and Time & Attendance systems role
Technical knowledge and skills
- The ability to implement Time strategy in partnership with managers and to operationalise this into an HR Systems and Information Strategy
- The ability to take a proactive approach to Time Governance, risk and compliance
- Has detailed knowledge of all legislation and requirements applicable to organisation for Time Systems and Information
- The ability to take a systematic and integrated approach to data analytics and measurement: Provides Time Systems and Information reports to line managers in own area of responsibility and interprets these as required
- The ability to attain high levels of internal customer satisfaction through the delivery of high quality Time Systems and Information products and services for the organisation
