Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trenchless Apprentice in St Austell, Cornwall, United Kingdom. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the specialized field of trenchless technology, where you will work alongside experienced professionals to develop practical skills and technical expertise. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in innovative underground construction methods while contributing to meaningful projects that serve our community.
- Assist experienced technicians in executing trenchless technology projects, lining, patching, robotic cutting and CCTV survey.
- Learn and apply proper safety protocols and procedures on all job sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain, inspect, and organize tools and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition
- Document work activities, measurements, and project progress accurately and thoroughly
- Perform manual tasks and support team members in preparing job sites and managing materials
- Develop technical competencies through structured on-the-job training and mentorship
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot challenges and implement effective solutions
- Participate in ongoing training programs to build knowledge of trenchless methodologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varied outdoor and underground conditions
- Demonstrated safety awareness and willingness to adhere to all safety protocols
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing work environments
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Preferred: Previous experience in construction, manual labor, or related fields
- Preferred: Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Preferred: Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction environments
