Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role owns the local monetisation strategy and player economy end-to-end for Romania, driving sustainable revenue growth and optimising player lifetime value. As Head of Monetisation, you will lead a team of commercial and optimisation specialists, setting the revenue architecture and monetisation models whilst building the team that delivers them — ensuring a strong data-driven culture and close collaboration across Product, Sportsbook, Casino, Brand, and Analytics.
What the role involves
People Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of monetisation managers, analysts, and specialists, fostering accountability and continuous learning
- Set clear KPIs, deliver performance reviews, and build development tracks to drive retention and motivation
- Act as the primary link between your team and key stakeholders to align monetisation strategy with broader business goals
Monetisation & Strategy
- Define and execute the local monetisation strategy to optimise ARPU, ARPPU, and long-term player LTV
- Design and manage the promotional economy, including bonus structures, wagering requirements, cashback mechanics, and margin health
- Identify and act on cross-sell and upsell opportunities across product lines (e.g. Sportsbook to Casino)
- Partner with Analytics/BI to run continuous A/B testing on pricing, incentives, and feature monetisation
- Balance commercial targets with responsible gaming standards, ensuring monetisation tactics protect players and comply with local regulations
What we are looking for
- 5+ years' experience in monetisation, revenue management, commercial strategy, or growth marketing within a high-frequency transactional industry (iGaming, Fintech, or Mobile Gaming highly preferred)
- Proven track record in people management, including hiring, developing, and leading high-performing teams
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex player data, build financial models, and make data-driven decisions
- Solid understanding of digital economies, pricing strategies, and promotional mechanics that drive spend without increasing churn
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data trends into clear, strategic updates for senior leadership
Nice to have
- Experience managing loyalty points economies or virtual reward shops
- Familiarity with causal/incremental measurement and advanced lift testing methodologies
- Good understanding of the local Romanian regulatory framework regarding gaming and commercial promotions
