The Production Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production activities to ensure that production goals, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met. This role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and optimization of production schedules to ensure that pharmaceutical products are manufactured efficiently, in compliance with regulatory standards, and delivered on time to the market

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements comprehensive production plans that align with demand forecasts and business objectives.
  • Ensures the efficient allocation of resources, including raw materials, labor, and machinery, to meet production goals.
  • Coordinates with various departments, including sales, procurement, and logistics, to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Leads and mentors a team of production planners, providing guidance on best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyzes production workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, implementing solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Monitors production schedules and adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.
  • Manages inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to ensure optimal stock is maintained while minimizing excess inventory costs.
  • Collaborates with supply chain teams to forecast material requirements and coordinate procurement activities.
  • Tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance with industry regulations and quality standards throughout the production process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Excellent Knowledge of the English language.
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office, ERP System).
