Business Development / Sales Specialist (English, Manufacturing)
Posted about 5 hours ago
Vietnam's manufacturing sector accounts for over 60% of GDP. Ninety percent of its factories still run on manual processes. That gap is where this role operates.
As Business Development Specialist, you open doors, build networks, and bring qualified opportunities into Gradion's pipeline. You work across the full breadth of what we do in manufacturing - automation, smart factory, MES, ERP, intralogistics, OT security - and you connect factory owners, plant managers, and operations leaders to Gradion's capabilities before their problems become urgent.
This is a consultative, field-oriented role. You spend time at ACE (Gradion's Automation Centre of Excellence), at industry events, and on factory floors. You represent Gradion credibly with industrial audiences and hand qualified opportunities to solution and pre-sales teams with full context.
Build and manage your industrial network
Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturing decision-makers: factory owners, plant managers, heads of operations, automation leads.
Map target accounts across Vietnam’s industrial zones.
Position Gradion early in customers' automation and digital transformation planning cycles.
Identify and initiate opportunities
Conduct structured discovery conversations and on-site factory observations.
Assess automation maturity, operational pain points, and digitalization readiness at a high level.
Prepare clear summaries for solution and pre-sales teams, stakeholder context, opportunity signals, initial findings.
Represent Gradion at industry events
Attend and actively participate in industrial automation conferences, trade events, and partner activities.
Present, moderate, or speak at panels where appropriate.
Drive Gradion's visibility and positioning as a consultative partner.
Experience
3–7 years in business development, B2B sales, or consulting.
Proven track record of opening doors at decision-maker level: factory owners, C-suite, plant leadership. Successfully closing complex, six-figure B2B engagements.
Experience with manufacturing, automation, or industrial technology clients.
Comfortable in both factory-floor conversations and boardroom settings.
Knowledge
Working understanding of industrial automation concepts: AGV/AMR, MES, ERP, WMS, robotics, OT security, or smart factory.
Ability to translate customer operational language into clear briefs for technical teams.
Familiarity with Vietnam's industrial ecosystem: provinces, zones, key sectors
Skills and approach
Structured and consultative in discovery: you ask the right questions and document what you learn.
Confident presenter to industrial and management audiences.
Self-directed and proactive: you build your pipeline, you manage your calendar.
Reliable in handover: solution teams get context, not just a contact.
Language
Strong English proficiency required (written and spoken).
Chinese or Korean language skills are a valued plus given our client base.
