Senior Security Specialist / Representative

We are seeking a Senior Security Specialist to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer at Indian Head, MD. The Senior Security Specialist will guide organizational protection efforts and oversee both technical and physical safeguarding.  

Responsibilities:

• Shape comprehensive security practices that defend personnel, assets, and information across all operational areas.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities, conduct in-depth assessments, and implement corrective measures to reduce exposure.
• Lead responses to security events, investigate incidents thoroughly, and drive actions that prevent recurrence.
• Manage day-to-day security technologies and monitoring functions to maintain continuous situational awareness.
• Oversee compliance activities and personnel vetting programs while coordinating closely with internal teams and external authorities.

Requirements

• Must have an Active Top Secret Security Clearance, with ability to obtain SCI
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, Global Security, or related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience within security or law enforcement
• Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II baseline certification requirements by possessing at least one approved certification (such as Security+, SSCP, CCNA Security, GSEC, or equivalent).

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $100,000 to $170,000 (annually).
