Job Description
- Associate will be responsible for verifying and processing timely receipts from external suppliers and ensuring materials flow to and from our parts room, warehouses, and production facilities.
- Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming receipts against packing slips/lists, recording and reporting any damages.
- Work with purchasing and sales/customer service to resolve any issues with receipts or shipments.
- Ensure transactions in ERP system are completed in timely manner and reflect accurate material movements.
- Maintain accurate and timely inventory records in ERP system.
- Scanning and filing all receiving documentation including packing lists, material test reports and quality documents.
- Labels every part that is not received with the part number on them.
- Ensures materials are stored in appropriate locations and proper transactions are completed in ERP system.
- Perform housekeeping to ensure that material does not accumulate, remove scrap material, and re-stack inventory.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Loads, unloads, and moves materials per production requirements.
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, creating labelled bins when necessary.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck fork truck, pallet jack or other approved methods.
- Coverage for Shipping when needed
- Participation in annual physical inventory
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or related work experience.
- Previous experience with receiving parts and/or materials into an ERP or related inventory system required.
- RF Scanner and bar-coding experience.
- Inventory and warehouse experience.
- Previous experience with handling materials inventory.
- Previous experience with picking and packing materials for shipment.
- Previous experience operating a forklift is required.
- Able to use a pallet jack to move product.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and high level of organization skills are required.
- Organization skills and ability to establish and revise priorities within scope of responsibilities is required.
- Ability to use good judgment and work independently, under minimal supervision is required.
- The individual selected will maintain security and confidentiality of highly sensitive documents, information, and proposal.
- Ability to create and present detailed summary reports.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate this into meaningful, useful in-formation that informs decision-making.
