About the Team

The Treasury Optimization team builds and supports systems that optimize treasury functions, including collateral, liquidity, and counterparty credit risk. By combining domain knowledge, quantitative skills and technical expertise, the team delivers scalable solutions that automate and support decision-making across the business.

Role Overview

We are seeking a quantitative developer to join our Treasury Optimization team, responsible for modelling existing workflows and replacing them with systematic engines where appropriate. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of quantitative and financial engineering, building solutions that improve financial decision-making and operational performance. The ideal candidate is technically strong, curious about financial systems, and motivated by creating solutions that delivers measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Treasury stakeholders to understand business requirements across liquidity, collateral, and financial risk domains
  • Translate business workflows into well-designed technical solutions that support operational goals
  • Engage with users to iterate on solutions that enhance usability, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Apply a user-focused mindset to ensure technical outputs meet real-world needs
  • Continuously deepen your understanding of the treasury space, particularly where finance and engineering intersect
  • Work effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing across teams

What makes a great candidate?

  • Understanding of hedge fund financing with a focus on systematic equities
  • Familiarity with convex optimization
  • Exposure to the complete software development life cycle
  • Deep knowledge of the scientific python software ecosystem (numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, pandas, polars)
  • Prior portfolio analytics buy-side or sell-side experience, preferably with a financing angle
  • Understanding of treasury functions, including liquidity risk management, collateral management
  • A holistic approach to problem solving, focusing on achieving business goals
  • A passion for software technology and innovation
  • Motivated by building software that directly improves business performance
  • A user-focused approach, collaborating closely with stakeholders to develop solutions that enhance workflows and address real needs
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to deepen knowledge of the treasury space, particularly where quantitative finance and engineering intersect

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in financial engineering, computer science, or relevant technical field
  • 5-10 years of experience
