Laundry Attendant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Laundry Attendant to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens for our establishment, ensuring guest satisfaction through your attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold various types of linens, including bedsheets, towels, and uniforms
• Operate industrial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines
• Inspect linens for stains, tears, or other damage, and treat accordingly
• Apply appropriate cleaning techniques based on fabric type and care instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area
• Manage laundry inventory and report any shortages or issues to the supervisor
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines in the laundry facility
• Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens
• Handle guest requests for laundry services promptly and efficiently
• Maintain records of laundry processed and chemical usage

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
• Knowledge of fabric care, stain removal techniques, and proper handling of different textiles
• Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Basic communication skills in English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
