SAP QM Functional Consultant (German Speaker)

Job Description

Fusion Consulting is looking for an experienced SAP QM Functional Consultant to join our international SAP team and support the delivery of high-quality Quality Management solutions within SAP environments.

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand quality management requirements, translating them into SAP solutions, and supporting implementation, enhancement, testing, and deployment activities. Fluent German and English are required, as the consultant will work directly with German-speaking business users and project teams.

What you will be doing

• Preparing and facilitating workshops with business stakeholders to gather and analyze Quality Management requirements.
• Translating business requirements into SAP QM configuration and functional solutions.
• Performing detailed analysis of quality processes and proposing effective SAP solutions.
• Configuring and testing SAP QM functionalities according to business needs.
• Supporting integration activities between SAP QM and other SAP modules, including PP, MM, EWM, PM, and SD.
• Maintaining and updating project documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, configuration documents, and testing documentation.
• Creating Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and supporting technical teams during development activities.
• Supporting master data preparation, migration activities, and quality-related data validation.
• Participating in end-to-end testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and go-live support.
• Collaborating with global and local teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years of SAP QM consulting experience and ideally one full-cycle SAP implementation project.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Quality Management (QM) configuration and support.
• Good understanding of quality management processes, including:
  • Quality Planning
  • Inspection Planning
  • Incoming Inspection
  • In-Process Inspection
  • Final Inspection
  • Quality Notifications
  • Non-Conformance Management
  • Quality Certificates
  • Audit Management
  • Vendor Quality Management
• Experience integrating SAP QM with PP, MM, EWM, PM, and SD.
• Experience supporting testing activities, defect resolution, and business process validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent German (spoken and written).
• Professional English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA QM.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, chemical, or regulated industries.
• Experience with quality compliance and validation processes.
• Knowledge of batch management and traceability processes.
• Previous experience working in international project environments.
