We are seeking a highly accomplished, strategic General Counsel (10+ years PQE) to lead the legal function for a premier global cryptocurrency platform. This pivotal onsite role in Hong Kong requires a dual-threat legal expert: someone deeply entrenched in the digital asset regulatory landscape who also brings a robust background in commercial litigation to robustly defend and advance the company’s global interests.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Oversee and manage complex commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, and cross-border disputes. Act as the primary strategic voice in mitigating contentious legal risks.

Contractual & Operational Excellence: Draft, review, and negotiate high-value corporate contracts, user agreements, and intricate legal disclosures in both Mandarin and English.

Global Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to global legal standards, AML/CTF frameworks, and internal corporate policies across multiple jurisdictions.

External Counsel Management: Lead and liaise with international legal teams and elite external counsel to ensure unified legal defense and global brand protection.

Regulatory Advisory: Proactively analyze evolving regional regulatory shifts (HK, Singapore, US, EU) and translate them into actionable business strategies to safeguard the platform's global operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years of PQE, with a proven track record in a legal leadership role (e.g., Head of Legal, General Counsel) within a major crypto exchange, fintech firm, or a top-tier law firm specializing in these sectors.

Litigation Expertise: Strong background in commercial litigation, arbitration, and managing complex dispute resolution processes.

Language Fluency: Native-level or professional-grade fluency in both Mandarin and English (written and verbal) is strictly required to review legal documents and communicate with stakeholders.

Bar Admission: Valid admission to the bar in Hong Kong, Singapore, the USA, or an EU member state.

Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of international regulatory frameworks governing digital assets, securities laws, and cross-border financial compliance.

Leadership: Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced corporate environments.
