Job Description

Education and Work Experience Requirements:  This section is used to describe what knowledge, skills and abilities are required to perform the daily tasks  

• B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field with 5 - 7 years of experience in SW testing and Test Development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers both in English.·      
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices 

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for test framework development, test methodology, writing testcases, test execution and reports for embedded solutions for Linux systems.
• Documentation and archiving of work products according to defined processes (e.g., agile methods) using standardized tools
• Train and consult the test engineers to use the test infrastructure On-time delivery of (preferably automated) SW and test environments
• This role also involves direct interaction in a customer-facing capacity and requires active collaboration as part of our global testing team

Expected skill set:·      

• 5 - 7 years of experience in Test Development and SW testing·      
• Proven track record in testing embedded Linux systems and software-hardware integration tests.·      
• Solid experience with test automation frameworks and tools.·        ·      
• Experience in preparing test plan and deploying it·      
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.·     
• Experience with debugging and profiling embedded software during testing.·      
• Ability to perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) tests and troubleshoot integration issues.·      
• Experience and know how in Linux - especially with scripting·      
• Basic understanding of embedded C/C++ programming for test development.   ·      
• Scripting – Python, Linux Shell scripting, Windows power shell·       Experience in working within agile teams and contributing to agile processes.·      
• Fluent communication in English, both written and verbal and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts

Good to Have skills: Advantage skills:

• Extended knowledge on CI systems Jenkins/Bamboo usage ·      
• Preferable: Knowledge of Linux IPC mechanisms (DBus/CommonAPI, Web Sockets),·      
• Preferable: Knowledge of V model and different levels of tests;·      
• Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with the ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows

B.E/B.Tech Computes or similar with 5 to 7 years EmbTesting exp
