Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher based in Limassol, Cyprus.
We are working on Total Battle — a cross-platform MMO 4X strategy game with a deep social system and extensive player interaction. We have 2 million monthly active players and are continuing to grow, with the goal of becoming the #1 game in the genre.

About the role
At Scorewarrior, we're making a long-term investment in Building Blocks — a new generation of self-service internal products with clear interfaces, contracts, and documentation that game teams can adopt independently.
Localization Hub is the first Building Block.
Today, Localization Hub, together with Crowdin, powers localization workflows across Scorewarrior — from translation tracking, analytics, and reporting to automated translation quality checks and an AI-powered localization assistant.
Our next goal is to transform Localization Hub into the first fully self-service Building Block, enabling content teams to localize standard features independently while the lead focuses on high-level decisions.
The engineering team behind Localization Hub will establish the architecture, engineering standards, and practices that future Building Blocks will build upon.
What you'll do
Build and grow a high-performing engineering team.
Lead the technical evolution of Localization Hub while ensuring continuous product development.
Remain hands-on by contributing to architecture, technical design, code reviews, and key implementation work, especially during the team's early stages.
Drive the migration of the existing platform to a scalable engineering architecture.
Establish engineering standards, development processes, and delivery practices that scale.
Partner closely with Product to translate business priorities into engineering execution.
Coach engineers through regular feedback, mentoring, and career development.
Drive the adoption of AI where it meaningfully improves engineering productivity and product capabilities.
Help establish engineering approaches that can be reused across future Building Blocks.
What we're looking for
We're looking for an engineering leader who enjoys transforming existing products, building strong engineering teams, and shaping technical direction.
Required
Proven experience building and growing engineering teams.
Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing engineers.
Experience designing and evolving production software architectures.
Experience delivering internal platforms, developer tooling, or complex backend systems.
Experience balancing long-term platform investments with continuous product delivery.
A strong understanding of software architecture, CI/CD, automated testing, and engineering quality.
Experience partnering closely with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Technical expertise
We value strong engineering fundamentals over experience with a specific technology stack, but you should feel comfortable working with modern backend technologies.
Experience with any of the following is highly valued:
TypeScript, Go, or other modern backend technologies.
Service-oriented architecture and API design.
Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
AI-powered products or AI-assisted engineering workflows.
Nice to have
Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) or DevEx products.
Experience with localization platforms, CAT/TMS tools, or translation workflows.
Experience in game development or LiveOps products.
Experience building self-service internal products.

Our company was founded in 2015 in Cyprus with the initial goal of publishing and operating third-party games. In 2016 we decided that we wanted to work with our own games instead of ready-made products. We were excited by the idea of being a full-cycle game development studio: to launch a game, gain initial traction, and then scale up the game globally and become a leader in the genre. 2017 saw the arrival of our first game, Total Battle. We discovered the game in its very early stages, and we believed in its great potential, so we made it our goal to focus on this single title and become the leader in the 4X strategy genre. In 2021, we began to transform the company into a full-cycle game development studio, adding game developers, designers, and artists to our already existing publishing team, which consisted of our finance, legal, marketing, community, and support staff. We finished this process in 2022, and we now operate from our two offices in Limassol.
