Freeski is more than a category, it is a culture that drives innovation, creativity, and progression across Alpine skiing world.
We are looking for a Freeski leader to define the future of Salomon's Freeski category, connecting athlete insights, product innovation, and community engagement into a clear vision and strategy.
Working across Product, Sports Marketing, Design, R&D, Sales, and Brand Marketing, you will shape industry-leading products and strengthen Salomon's influence within the global Freeski community.
Key Responsibilities:
Athlete & Sports Marketing
- Lead Salomon's global Freeski athlete program.
- Build strong relationships with athletes and turn their feedback into product innovation.
- Identify and develop the next generation of Freeski talent.
- Manage athlete activations, product testing, and key Freeski events.
Product Leadership
- Define and drive the Freeski product vision, roadmap, and category strategy.
- Lead product creation from concept to launch, ensuring market relevance and commercial success.
- Translate athlete, consumer, and market insights into innovative products and compelling product stories.
- Partner with Design, R&D, and Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class Freeski equipment.
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experiences
- First and foremost, a skier with deep credibility within the Freeski world.
- 5+ years of experience in either Product Management, Sports Marketing, Category Management, or a related role in snow sports or action sports.
- Strong understanding of Freeski athletes, products, trends, and communities.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead projects from concept to execution.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
Essential Competencies
- Market Knowledge: You know the market context in which the business operates, the Freeski community and the major players.
- Leadership: You have the ability to build, focus and align groups to deliver goals. You are able to lead athlete contract negotiations, and present product collections to the market.
- Collaboration: You have the ability to work with peers and partners to drive results & improve performance, you are a orchestrator, you work with various teams sharing best practices and creating collaboration networks.
Desired Qualifications
- Languages: Fluent in English; basic French with the willingness and ability to progress.
- Tools: Microsoft Office
