Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking two experienced Band 6 Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technicians to join the team at Maudsley Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist clinical trials pharmacy service, supporting the safe and effective delivery of research studies within a hospital setting.

The successful candidates will play a key role in the coordination, dispensing, and management of clinical trials, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of clinical trials pharmacy services within a hospital setting
  • Dispense and manage investigational medicinal products (IMPs)
  • Assist in the setup, organisation, and maintenance of clinical trials
  • Develop and contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and research documentation
  • Ensure compliance with ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and UK Clinical Trials Regulations
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists, clinicians, and research teams
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date trial documentation and records

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or recognised equivalent)
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) with up-to-date CPD
  • Experience working within a hospital clinical trials pharmacy service
  • Proven experience in dispensing and organising clinical trials
  • Knowledge of ICH GCP and UK Clinical Trials Regulations
  • Experience writing SOPs and research documentation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
