Mandatory Internship in Purchasing of Logistic Transport Services

Job Description

For our central department we are looking for interested and motivated interns. Our department is responsible for the purchasing of external logistics services like transports (airfreight, seafreight and overland transports), packaging materials and warehouses, for the Bosch Group worldwide. Our headquarter in Stuttgart-Feuerbach is steering the global organization and defining the purchasing strategies. We offer an international and innovative working environment with a strategic overview and numerous interfaces with internal and external business partners. 

  • From the first day, you will support the further development of purchasing and supplier strategies, particularly within the Transport Services department. We involve you in international tenders.
  • You will help with strategic projects, such as global framework agreements, purchasing processes and prolongations for running projects.
  • In addition, you will independently take charge of projects relating to purchasing processes, purchasing control and the development of standards.
  • Furthermore, you will assist our national and international buyers in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and India.
  • Your job will include project management tasks such as preparing management reviews and arranging supplier appointments, as well as supporting our digitalization strategy.
  • Last but not least, you will develop automated purchasing processes and support purchasing management.

Qualifications

  • Education: studies in the field of (Technical) Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Development, focusing on purchasing, logistics, supply chain management or comparable
  • Experience and Knowledge: good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); experience with Power BI or similar IT solutions advantageous
  • Personality and Working Practice: you are an independent, resilient individual with a flexible approach to work; you have a structured and conscientious way of working, as well as good communication skills
  • Work Routine: your on-site presence is required
  • Languages: business fluent in English; basic German is beneficial

Additional Information

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months (confirmation of mandatory internship required)
