About Anago
At Anago, more than 55 colleagues have been making a daily impact on society for over 25 years. Our software helps public organisations plan better, prioritise more effectively, and deploy capacity efficiently — enabling faster decisions, more effective use of resources, and better responses to societal challenges. Think: faster procedures for asylum seekers, improved preventive healthcare, and better allocation of education budgets.
We have built a strong position in the Netherlands and are now actively expanding internationally, including into the United Kingdom. The coming years will be defined by scaling up, broadening our market presence, and further professionalising our commercial organisation.
At Anago, we work on impact - combining smart working with a warm, collaborative culture.
The Role:
As Head of Sales, you are responsible for Anago’s commercial growth across various sectors in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
In the Netherlands, we are working hard to expand our strong market position in education, while also actively pursuing business development in government and public health. A significant portion of your focus will be on generating revenue within these sectors. The United Kingdom plays an important role in Anago’s next growth phase. In this role, you will have significant scope to work with the local team to further develop our commercial position, strengthen strategic client relationships, and identify new growth opportunities. You will combine strategic insight with a hands-on approach and drive the further professionalisation of our commercial organisation.
You set the commercial direction and ensure it is executed. You lead the sales team while also actively working to close deals and deepen client relationships and partnerships. In close collaboration with marketing and product development, you translate market insights into product improvements that our current and future clients need. In your day-to-day work, you leverage AI tooling for prospecting, pipeline analysis, and sales forecasting.
Qualifications for success:
- University degree level of thinking and working
- 8–10+ years of commercial experience
- Experience with SaaS sales processes, preferably in a B2B environment within the public sector
- Experience with complex sales cycles such as tenders and public procurement. You understand how decision-making works within larger organisations and can navigate multiple stakeholders with ease.
- You sell using a consultative selling approach grounded in content, trust, and strategic advice rather than quick transactions
- Experience in both the Dutch market and the UK
- Willingness to travel to the UK regularly
- Ability to move comfortably between setting strategic direction and hands-on daily execution
- You combine commercial sharpness with a connecting and coaching leadership style
- Excellent presentation skills in both English and Dutch
What you can expect from us:
You will work in an organisation focused on substance, where collaboration and long-term impact are central.
- A key role within the organisation and the management team
- A great deal of freedom and responsibility. In this role, you have significant autonomy and direct influence over commercial strategy, market development, and the further professionalisation of sales at Anago
- Personal development in AI applications. We continuously invest in innovation and see AI as a key development for strengthening our software and services. Your skills will grow alongside us
- A strong and talented team working in a positive culture
- An OTE annual salary of approximately €115,000, depending on experience, knowledge, and skills. The commission structure has no cap, meaning total income can significantly exceed OTE
- The variable component is made up of a combination of commissions based on personal and team results
- Mobility budget of €750 per month and/or a public transport business card
- Financial support for personal development from our shared training budget (3% of payroll)
- Net phone and internet allowance
- Holiday allowance of 8%
- 26 holiday days with the option to purchase 6 additional days or 13 time-off-in-lieu (ATV) days
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to work hybrid; our office is located near Den Bosch Central Station where you can work flexibly. You also have the option to work from home with a fully equipped home workspace and a working-from-home allowance
- A contribution-free pension
- Top-up of paid parental and partner leave to 100%
- A delicious prepared lunch at the office every day (for a small contribution)
- Regular team outings, drinks, table football, and activities — including regular contributions back to society

Banyan Software is a buy and hold for life acquirer of vertical market software businesses. Founded in 2016 by David Berkal, Banyan was created to offer software owners a third option beyond selling to a competitor focused on cutting costs or a traditional investment firm that would resell the business a few years later. As a private company with no fund timeline and no exit pressure, Banyan holds and grows its businesses for life. Unlike private equity firms, Banyan preserves the culture, brand, and autonomy of each business rather than consolidating or cutting costs to maximize short-term returns. Every acquired company keeps its management team, brand identity, and customer relationships intact. Banyan works closely with each owner to find the right path forward, whether they want to stay at the helm, transition to an advisory role, or make a graceful exit. Many owners choose to retire or move on, either at closing or within a year or two. In those cases, Banyan partners with the outgoing owner to recruit a new CEO who is the right fit for the team and culture. Every Banyan company is paired with a dedicated Operating Leader who provides strategic guidance and support. Companies also gain access to the Banyan Business Community, which includes CEO Summits, functional Guilds, an online portal, and peer networks. Growth Enablement resources are available across finance, technology, sales and marketing, HR, legal, and talent. Banyan also invests in AI capabilities across its portfolio to help modernize products and accelerate growth. Banyan acquires profitable, market-leading enterprise software businesses with annual revenues generally greater than $2M, a high proportion of recurring revenue, strong customer retention, and engaged employees. The portfolio spans vertical markets including education, government, financial services, healthcare, media and entertainment, and transportation, with businesses across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia and New Zealand
