About the role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Compliance, the Coordinator, HSE Compliance is responsible for the administration and coordination of EVR’s site safety programs. The position will support the Contractor Management Program at Fording River Operations (FRO) ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible planning and execution of work performed by contractors.
To be successful, we are looking for a self-motivated person who enjoys collaborating with others in the pursuit of continuous improvement. This person has strong employee-relations skills and can monitor standards in a respectful and supportive manner. Finally, this person is organized and can provide mentorship across all levels, including contractors.

### Benefits:- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Lead and hold contractors, Contract Managers, and Supervisors accountable to ensure safe and efficient completion of contract work, and ensure all sustainability and environment requirements are met
- Assist Contract Managers and Supervisors in preparing Environmental Health and Safety Community work plans (EHSC) and Environmental Protection Work Plans (EPWP) prior to contractor work commencing
- Coach, mentor, and train personnel in contract management best practices
- Conduct daily audits to ensure the safety and environment requirements of the EHSC and EPWP work plans are sufficient and adhered to
- Observe contractor efficiency and work with site supervision to ensure work being completed is authorized and within an approved scope
- Work with management regarding advancing contractor safety and proficiency
- Work with Teck Coal Business Unit (BU) Safety and Procurement teams regarding Contract Management system improvements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Proficient digital literacy, and experience with the Microsoft Suite® Word, Excel, Outlook; SharePoint experience is an asset
- Experience in contractor management is an asset
- Experience performing audits and having meaningful safety conversations with contractors is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
Salary range: 85,000 - 105,000 CAD / year
