We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and scale enterprise-grade backend systems that power complex business workflows and customer experiences. This role requires a strong engineering mindset, deep expertise in Java-based microservices architecture, and the ability to take complete ownership of system components from design through deployment and optimization.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building high-performance, scalable applications, solving challenging technical problems, and driving engineering excellence. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and UX teams to deliver robust solutions while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using modern software engineering practices.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features and system components, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and enhancements.
• Build solutions for complex business workflows with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks, production issues, and system inefficiencies.
• Design and implement RESTful services, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, UI/UX, and Engineering to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting engineering excellence and code quality across the team.
• Continuously improve system performance, security, observability, and operational reliability.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience building and scaling microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL and MongoDB.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and modern backend technologies with a strong understanding of scalable application design.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization skills.
• Experience developing enterprise-scale platforms in domains such as SaaS, eCommerce, manufacturing, supply chain, or similar industries.
• Ability to create and review technical designs, architecture solutions, and system workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a strong sense of ownership.
