Head Waiter

As a Waiter A/Waitress A, you will be responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. You will play an important role in guest satisfaction, as you will also be responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and taking action to correct any problems.

What you’ll do 

• Provide excellent customer services 

• Greet customers and present menus 

• Make suggestions based on their preferences 

• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software 

• Serve food and drink orders 

• Paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies, vegan options) 

• Up-sell when appropriate 

• Arrange table settings 

• Keep tables clean and tidy at all times 

• Deliver checks and collect payments 

• Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff 

• Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines 

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Waiter A/Waitress A, preferably in a 5* hotel environment 

• Excellent knowledge of English language 

• Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. POS) 

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment 

• Active listening and effective communication skills 

• Flexibility to work in shifts
