WPP is looking for “Director - Communications Planning” with minimum 5-6 years of Brand Strategy / Communication Strategy experience. We are looking for someone who has hands on experience refining data into intelligence and creating strategic narratives to solve brand problems. You will have a good understanding of the diverse content landscape, skilled with social listening tools and have a comprehensive understanding of social / digital platforms and their data eco-system. If you bring a fine balance of left and right brain, this is the role for you.

This role reports to Lead – Comms Strategy.

In this role you will,

  1. Work with the leading FMCG giant in India across a variety of categories and work with some of the best tools and technologies in the market.
  2. Create social first work that is rooted in culture, that impacts the brands goals as well as win awards
  3. Play with data for churning out meaningful, actionable insights
  4. Be part of most exciting innovation hub – Content/ Creative/ Insights/Technology/ Measurement
  5. Assess and analyse performance of campaigns and create an informed learning path for future campaigns
  6. Drive thinking behind big campaign ideas, laying down the foundation with data, insights and consumer understanding

In three months:

  • Work as part of a team to contribute to the Content Strategy and Listening function and streamline operations/ reporting with minimal supervision
  • Bring fresh thinking and insights which is data backed to enable the content team to develop insightful work
  • Integrate and learn the different streams of work/processes in data and digital

In six months:

  • You would have taken complete control of the process, deliverables, and client relationship
  • Provide strategic inputs on project briefs through data driven insights
  • Enabled content team to develop proactive work by supporting them, sharing consumer insights and cultural trend
  • Drive meetings and present analysis to the content team and clients

In 12 months:

  • Emerge as the go-to person both internally and amongst clients for all strategy and measurement requirement
  • Independently work on client requirements from scratch - from decoding the brief, setting up a structure, analysing and sharing recommendations basis the analysis that matches the clients’ expectations
  • Be equipped enough to independently explore and evaluate the best tools and technology in the market for Mindshare

What you will need:

  • Ability to distill secondary and primary data to actionable creative insights
  • Support creative executions with media data
  • High proficiency on Social Listening tools such as Brandwatch, Meltwater, survey tools such as TGI, softwares like Canva, Microsoft office (PowerPoint, word and excel) and good presentation skills – written and verbal
  • Strategic, analytical and problem-solving approach but with a creative bent of mind is a must
  • Possess organizational skills in the form of written and oral communication, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem analysis.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Understanding of general business, digital and social media platforms and technology in
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams across different expertise and collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Demonstrate a combination of highly quantitative analytical skills, strategic judgment, and
  • Tracking time-resource engagement for all projects to ensure timely
  • Someone who is proactive, takes initiative, and demonstrates the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high pressure, and highly competitive environment.
  • Very quick learner, resourceful, with smart problem-solving
