Job Description – Oracle ERP Production Support Analyst 

Position Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Oracle ERP Production Support Analyst to provide production support, operational troubleshooting, incident management, and application support for a highly customized Oracle ERP environment. 

The ideal candidate should have strong Oracle ERP functional knowledge, excellent Oracle SQL/PLSQL skills, and experience supporting business-critical ERP applications. The environment includes significant custom development built on top of Oracle E-Business Suite (11i/R12), requiring both technical troubleshooting and business process understanding. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Production Support 

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle ERP applications. 

  • Investigate and resolve application, data, and interface issues. 

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. 

  • Support business users during critical incidents and escalations. 

  • Monitor application health, concurrent programs, interfaces, and batch processes. 

  • Coordinate with business users, infrastructure teams, vendors, and development teams. 

ERP Functional Support 

  • Support day-to-day ERP operations across Order-to-Cash, Procurement, Inventory, and Finance processes. 

  • Analyze business process issues and system impacts. 

  • Troubleshoot transactional issues and data discrepancies. 

  • Work closely with business SMEs and functional teams to resolve production issues. 

  • Provide guidance on ERP functionality and process flows. 

Technical Support/Development 

  • Develop and troubleshoot Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programs. 

  • Support custom interfaces, reports, conversions, and enhancements. 

  • Investigate data issues and perform approved data corrections. 

  • Analyze performance issues and optimize SQL queries where required. 

  • Support deployment and migration activities. 

  • Defect fixes, performance tuning, and automation initiatives 

 

  • Testing, deployment, and release support

  • Receipt Processing 

  • Receipt Corrections 

  • Inventory Receiving Transactions 

 

Required Technical Skills 

  • Oracle E-Business Suite 11i, R12, or higher 

  • Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development skills 

  • Experience supporting highly customized Oracle ERP environments 

  • Oracle Forms, Reports, Interfaces, and Concurrent Programs 

  • Data analysis and troubleshooting 

  • Incident and production support management 

 

Preferred Skills 

  • Oracle Workflow knowledge 

  • XML Publisher / BI Publisher 

  • Unix/Linux shell scripting 

  • Oracle ERP integrations and interfaces 

  • ITIL / Production Support processes 

  • ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field. 

  • 6+ years of Oracle ERP production support experience. 

  • Strong Oracle ERP functional and technical troubleshooting experience. 

  • Experience supporting business-critical ERP applications in a production environment.

  • Strong understanding of Oracle ERP business processes. 

  • Excellent Oracle SQL and PL/SQL troubleshooting skills. 

  • Ability to diagnose both functional and technical issues. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 

  • Effective communication with business users and technical teams. 

  • Ability to support critical production environments with minimal supervision.
