Job Description

About the role

Do you want to shape how IKEA shows up to millions of people, across markets and channels? As Common Content Manager, you will own and drive the development of a global content portfolio that connects the IKEA range with people’s everyday lives—creating communication that inspires, guides, and drives business results.

At the heart of Range Commercial Communication, you will turn insights into impactful content at scale. You’ll lead the full journey—from understanding consumer needs and defining direction, to assigning content, shaping briefs, and ensuring successful delivery in markets.

This is a role for someone who thinks like a marketing product developer—balancing creativity, strategy, and performance. You’ll work closely with Retail Marketing, Range teams, and creative partners to ensure every piece of content is relevant, consistent, and commercially effective.

What you will be responsible for

  • Own the Common Content portfolio end-to-end
Define, plan, assign, approve, and follow up on all Common Content deliveries across IKEA Retailers—ensuring high quality, on-time, and cost-efficient execution aligned to business priorities.

  • Steer performance, priorities, and investments
Manage the full portfolio, including budget and performance, balancing impact, cost, and delivery to support the IKEA Growth Plan.

  • Turn insights into impactful content
Lead portfolio planning by combining consumer insights, creative direction, range priorities, and product selection into clear, customer-centric content directions.

  • Drive innovation in an omnichannel landscape
Continuously develop and evolve Common Content to increase relevance, engagement, and effectiveness across channels and markets.

  • Create clarity through strong briefs and decisions
Ensure fact-based, insight-driven decisions are translated into sharp, actionable briefs with clear strategic messaging.

  • Secure market impact
Lead the successful implementation of content across markets, ensuring relevance, usability, and strong business results.

  • Drive capability and ways of working
Identify, define, and prioritize content and capability needs to strengthen how IKEA works with marketing communication.

  • Lead collaboration and transformation
Act as a key partner across Range, Retail, and IMC—driving alignment, strengthening collaboration, and shaping the future of theCommon Content agenda.
