Job Description
Reporting into the Head of Business Development, the Commercial Account Manager will be of key importance to support the IPS Commercial function in growing revenue within the co-pack and co-manufacturing market.
Your role will provide invaluable support to the full Commercial Team and help drive new business acquisition and support the existing customer portfolio. You will support with onboarding new customers, including supporting new product launches and be an initial point of contact for new customers during the start of their journey with IPS.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week
Key Duties of a Junior Account Manager:
- First point of call for all new customer enquiries and onboarding of new customers
- Assists the commercial team with workload and preparation for customer visits
- Evaluate new business proposals and determine the potential financial revenue and contribution.
- This role will be responsible for receiving all new business leads, evaluating the opportunity potential and working with the assigned senior in preparing a commercially strong business proposal that will give the best opportunity to land the business.
- To review cost cards and assess if sites are achieving the desired profitability level in conjunction with the appropriate BDM leads. They will look for deviations in cost models and highlight these to the wider team for action.
- Maintain strong communication links with non-commercial teams, and ensure compliance with processes and procedures via the maintenance and completion of appropriate paperwork, including price forms and updating customer portals.
- Preparing customer presentations
- Reviewing cost cards and ensuring they reflect reality
- Researches and identifies new opportunities that compliments the strengths of the group
- Be a role model for others at all times and demonstrate the IPS behaviours
- Build solid relationships with BDM’s and Site Leads across IPS group
Qualifications
- Previous account management experience
- Knowledge of the food industry (desirable)
- Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner
- Fosters an open and collaborative culture
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines
- A commitment to respond to changing customer needs
- Able to work towards targets or KPIs
- Displays a positive attitude to change
- Preferably experience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities
