Business Engagement Manager

Job Description

We’re looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Business Engagement Manager to act as a trusted partner to one of our central functions (e.g., Ambient Contract Logistics, Chilled, Transport/Specialist, Central). This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape demand, influence priorities, and ensure technology initiatives deliver real business value.

You’ll own the end-to-end demand management lifecycle — from capturing and shaping ideas through to prioritisation, governance, and delivery readiness — ensuring alignment with both divisional goals and wider Group strategy.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and manage all divisional demand, ensuring it is value-driven, prioritised, and delivery-ready
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business strategy
• Drive transparency, governance, and planning across demand, capacity, and delivery
• Champion business readiness, adoption, and benefits realisation
• Provide insight into IT performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Act as a trusted advisor, influencing and challenging to achieve the best outcomes
• Support continuous improvement and promote cross-division collaboration

Qualifications

• Proven experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
• Strong background in demand management, prioritisation, and value-driven delivery
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language
• Experience working in complex, matrix environments
• A strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable: Experience in logistics, supply chain or transport, and/or certifications in BRM, Change Management (Prosci/ACMP), or Agile.
