Job Description
Are you an experienced UAV professional who thrives at the intersection of aviation compliance and field operations? We're looking for a hands-on RPAS Compliance Leader to support our Chief Pilot in maintaining CASA compliance while delivering innovative drone projects and high-quality asset inspection programs across Australia.
What you will be doing
- Support the Chief Pilot in maintaining CASA compliance and governance across all RPAS operations under our ReOC.
- Lead compliance and capability projects, including new platform inductions, approvals, and operational improvements.
- Manage pilot records, currency requirements, and competency activities across the national pilot workforce.
- Deliver UAV field operations, asset inspections, and condition assessments across a variety of projects and locations.
- Ensure operational assets are maintained in a safe and airworthy condition and that all required documentation and reporting is completed accurately.
- Mentor and coach UAV Operators, promoting best practice and a strong safety culture.
- Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders, providing technical and compliance expertise where required.
- Lead risk identification, incident response, and quality activities to ensure all operations meet regulatory and business standards.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) – essential
- Tertiary qualification in Aviation, Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience as a senior UAV operator, with broader aviation experience highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of CASA regulations, CASR Part 101, and operations under a ReOC
- Experience mentoring or supervising pilots or field-based technical teams
- Type ratings across multi-rotor and fixed-wing platforms, with BVLOS, controlled airspace, or night operations experience highly regarded
- Full unrestricted Australian driver's licence
