Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive in Malaysia to join our Online Resources sales team. Your role will involve promoting our products and services to customers and prospects, attendance at professional meetings and conferences and in-person client visits in Malaysia. You will be part of the APAC commercial team responsible for the sales and promotion of Online resources within Malaysia, reporting to the Sales Manager.

What you will be doing:

  • Able to establish and execute a sales strategy for Malaysia
  • Maximize sales revenue to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Maintain and build a healthy sales pipeline to ensure continued growth
  • Maintain, build, and manage strong working relationships with agents and other channel partners
  • Travelling in Malaysia to seek out new opportunities and customers, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to maximize upselling potential and repeat business
  • To share knowledge, best practice and experience with the wider Taylor and Francis product and sales teams

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • At least 3 years previous experience from a sales position preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred
  • Consultative sales skills and a customer focused approach
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Speak and Write)
  • Ability to create and maintain positive and effective relationships with external customers
  • Proactive and independent approach to managing your work
  • A clear communicator both in writing, through remote communication tools and in-person, including confident presentation skills
  • Competent user of core MS Office and familiarity with CRM databases

It would be fantastic if you also had:

  • Some knowledge and experience in academic publishing
  • Some previous experience of selling into or working with Academic Higher Education library markets
  • Some experience of selling digital content both directly and via third parties

  • The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance to our Malaysian office to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office location 3 days per week.
