Posted 3 days ago

OfficeProfessional Therapy Associates (PTA)~ Whitefish, MT80k - 88k USD

Practice Somewhere You Want to Build a Life

Imagine finishing your workday and being minutes from Glacier National Park. Many of our therapists spend their evenings hiking alpine trails, fishing Montana rivers, mountain biking, or skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort.

Our clinics are in the heart of the Flathead Valley, and many therapists move here for the lifestyle—and stay for the career growth, community, and mentorship opportunities. This is a place where you can practice hands-on PT, take ownership of your patients, and develop into a future clinic leader.

About Professional Therapy Associates (PTA)

PTA is a physical therapist-owned outpatient practice. That means clinicians have a real voice in patient care and the clinic culture. We invest in our therapists because confident, supported clinicians produce the best outcomes.

You’ll join a team where mentorship is part of the job, collaboration is real, and professional growth is encouraged. Our clinics consistently rank in the top tier nationally for patient outcomes, and we prioritize creating a work environment where you can thrive both professionally and personally.

The Physical Therapy Career You Want

You’ll spend most of your time directly with patients, designing and delivering hands-on care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating patients and creating individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

  • Providing interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and specialty modalities

  • Educating patients and families on exercises, recovery, and injury prevention

  • Tracking progress and adjusting plans as patients improve

  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care

  • Maintaining clear documentation in line with HIPAA and state/federal rules using state-of-the-art AI technology

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a PT who is passionate about helping patients move better and grow professionally. Ideal candidates have:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Montana

  • New graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience is a plus, not a requirement

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Motivation to grow into leadership opportunities

  • Current CPR certification

Compensation Package

$80,000+ annually, with bonuses that reward the work you put into your career. The benefits package is built to actually matter to clinicians at this stage of their career:

• $10,000 in tax-free student loan repayment over 5 years, paid monthly

• Unlimited continuing education funds plus a $500 travel stipend, starting at 90 days

• Medical insurance with the employer covering roughly 75% of your premium, plus an HSA option with employer contributions

• 401(k) with an employer match that is immediately vested

• Dental and vision coverage available

• Short-term disability and life insurance options

• 17 days of PTO in year one, growing with tenure

• License reimbursement and tuition reimbursement

• Referral bonus program

• Relocation assistance available

• Virtual urgent care available 24/7

• A clear path to leadership for those who want it

Where Great Clinicians Go Further

At PTA, you’ll get more than a paycheck—you’ll get a career path, mentorship, and the chance to work in one of the country’s most beautiful regions. Some highlights:

  • Clinical autonomy: Make real decisions about patient care

  • Mentorship & professional growth:

    • Formal and tailored mentorship program with strategic case load ramp-up

    • Unlimited continuing education and specialty certifications. Design your career, following your passions.

  • Leadership opportunities: Path to Clinic Director or advanced clinical roles

  • Supportive culture: Teams that genuinely care about each other and their patients

  • Work-life balance: Reasonable caseloads, flexible scheduling, PTO

  • Lifestyle advantage: Live and play in Montana, surrounded by hiking, skiing, fishing, and biking

Physical Requirements

You’ll need to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds

  • Stand, bend, reach, and use fine motor skills regularly

  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic exercises
