Downstream Process Development Engineer

Job Description

Employee Responsibilities:

• Perform lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine products and process intermediates
• Perform assays on vaccine products, process intermediates, and related experimental samples using biochemical/analytical tests
• Prepare solutions/reagents
• Set-up process equipment for lab-scale experiments
• Maintain records and experimental results following good manufacturing practices (GMP)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of industry experience or Masters in Engineering
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

• Experience with Purification and Filtration, Column Chromatography, HPLC, FPLC, TFF, Centrifugation, Membrane Filtration
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skill
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Proven ability to work independently in hands-on laboratory setting

Additional Information

Position is full-time and permanent, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with over time as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to West Point, PA are encouraged to apply. On-site work is expected in order to be effective in this role.
