Job Description
- Operate HIAB-equipped trucks safely and efficiently for the transportation, loading, unloading, and lifting of materials, equipment, and cargo at project sites, yards, and client locations.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with company and UAE regulations.
- Operate the truck-mounted crane (HIAB) to lift, position, and place materials in accordance with approved lifting procedures and safety requirements.
- Secure loads properly before transportation and ensure cargo is transported safely without damage.
- Follow approved lifting plans, risk assessments, and instructions from supervisors, riggers, and site personnel.
- Conduct routine checks on crane components, hydraulic systems, lifting accessories, and safety devices, reporting any defects immediately.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all required documentation, permits, and inspection records are up to date.
- Comply with UAE traffic laws, company driving policies, and project-specific safety regulations at all times.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and site teams to ensure timely delivery and movement of materials and equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading activities when required, ensuring proper use of lifting equipment and accessories.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, vehicle breakdowns, and equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Ensure all lifting operations are conducted within the crane's rated capacity and manufacturer's guidelines.
Qualifications
- Valid UAE Heavy Driving License.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating HIAB trucks / heavy vehicles.
- Good knowledge of UAE traffic regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Ability to read and understand lifting instructions, delivery notes, and site requirements.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
- Physically fit and able to work in yard, site, and remote project environments.
