WORLD WIDE PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS is a project solutions organization committed to implementing lean constructions, collaborative contracting, and execution approaches to enable breakthroughs in performance.

WWPS is seeking multiple highly skilled and motivated Construction Managers to join our growing Data Center Construction Management team supporting a large-scale data center project in the Atlanta Metro Area. We are seeking candidates for general Construction Manager, Mechanical Construction Manager, and Electrical Construction Manager roles. Candidates may bring broad field construction leadership experience or specialized expertise in mechanical, electrical, or mission critical systems execution.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for direct, on-site oversight of construction execution, providing leadership in safety, schedule performance, quality, and field coordination. Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager and Project Management leadership, this role ensures general contractors, trade partners, and specialty subcontractors deliver to the highest standards of safety, productivity, and technical excellence.

The Construction Manager acts as the Owner’s on-site representative, managing the daily flow of field activities, driving accountability among contractors, identifying and mitigating risk early, and ensuring delivery of mission critical infrastructure on schedule and within scope.

Local candidates in the Atlanta Metro Area are preferred. Highly qualified candidates open to relocation or travel work with per diem will also be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities - Field Leadership and Execution

  • Serve as a primary on site field leader representing the Owner’s interests, ensuring construction activities are executed in alignment with project goals, schedule milestones, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the field, conducting daily site walks to proactively identify safety concerns, coordination issues, quality risks, or schedule impacts before they escalate.
  • Drive a culture of behavioral based safety through daily safety walks and active collaboration with general contractors and trade partners.
  • Coordinate and facilitate daily and weekly progress meetings with general contractors, trade partners, commissioning teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper communication and escalation of key issues to project management and executive leadership.
  • Support field execution across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and commissioning related scopes depending on assigned discipline.

Discipline Specific Construction Oversight

  • General Construction Managers will support broad field execution, site logistics, trade coordination, schedule alignment, quality oversight, and contractor accountability across the overall project.
  • Mechanical Construction Managers will support mechanical field execution including HVAC, chilled water, piping, plumbing, hydronics, air handling systems, equipment setting, controls coordination, testing, startup, and turnover.
  • Electrical Construction Managers will support electrical field execution including power distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, grounding, lighting, low voltage systems, controls interfaces, testing, startup, and turnover.
  • Coordinate closely with project leadership to ensure discipline specific work is integrated with overall construction, commissioning, and turnover sequencing.

Schedule and Productivity Management

  • Monitor construction progress daily against the contractor’s integrated P6 schedule to validate that work aligns with critical path activities.
  • Track and report weekly field productivity metrics such as labor units, installed quantities, equipment setting progress, cable pulls, terminations, piping installation, ductwork, and other discipline specific production indicators.
  • Lead or participate in 3 week look ahead planning sessions to verify resource alignment, identify constraints, and develop recovery plans when needed.
  • Validate schedule updates, milestone reporting, and progress claims submitted by contractors for accuracy and completeness.
  • Escalate schedule delays, manpower constraints, material issues, or field coordination conflicts in a timely and solutions focused manner.

Quality Management and Technical Oversight

  • Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, project standards, and approved installation practices.
  • Manage first in place reviews for major installations to establish quality benchmarks and prevent repeat deficiencies.
  • Support the development and implementation of testing and inspection programs, coordinating with third party testing agencies for soils, concrete, electrical testing, mechanical systems, and other materials or systems as required.
  • Identify, document, and drive resolution of nonconformance issues to maintain overall build quality.
  • Support discipline specific quality reviews for mechanical, electrical, architectural, structural, and commissioning related installations.

Risk Identification and Issue Resolution

  • Evaluate project activities continuously to identify risks to safety, schedule, quality, cost, or turnover.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies in coordination with project leadership.
  • Track and manage field issues, RFIs, submittals, constraints, and action items to ensure timely resolution in accordance with the overall project schedule.
  • Support the review and validation of contractor change orders, ensuring cost and schedule impacts are documented and justified.
  • Proactively identify constructability concerns, design coordination issues, and sequencing conflicts before they affect field productivity.

Coordination and Stakeholder Interface

  • Partner closely with the Owner’s Project Management, Design, Engineering, and Commissioning teams to align construction execution with design intent and operational requirements.
  • Facilitate effective coordination between general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and multiple trades to prevent scope conflicts and ensure uninterrupted progress.
  • Engage with local authorities having jurisdiction and utility providers as needed to verify permitting, inspections, and site service requirements are met.
  • Support vendor and supplier coordination related to Owner Furnished Equipment deliveries, installation readiness, access planning, logistics, and commissioning integration.
  • Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, commissioning, and operations stakeholders to support successful system turnover.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and deliver daily field reports summarizing key activities, manpower, production, safety observations, quality concerns, constraints, and open issues.
  • Provide weekly summary packages to project leadership detailing productivity metrics, milestone status, top risks, safety highlights, and required decisions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of meetings, photographs, inspections, punch items, progress metrics, and field observations as part of project reporting.
  • Support executive level reporting by supplying accurate, data driven updates from the field.

Commissioning and Closeout

  • Collaborate with the Commissioning Agent to ensure startup, testing, pre functional checks, functional testing, and integrated systems commissioning activities are properly supported by general contractors and trade partners.
  • Monitor system turnover sequencing to achieve timely mechanical and electrical completions by area and by system.
  • Drive closure of punch list items through coordinated tracking, accountability, verification, and documentation.
  • Oversee closeout deliverables including as builts, O&M manuals, warranties, test reports, and turnover packages to ensure full compliance and timely project handover.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent field experience will be considered.
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience managing large scale commercial, industrial, mission critical, or data center construction projects.
  • Data center, mission critical, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other technically complex construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in field supervision, scheduling, quality control, subcontractor management, and contractor coordination for high volume projects.
  • Experience supporting general construction, mechanical construction, electrical construction, or discipline specific trade execution.
  • Working knowledge of lean construction methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, design coordination, field execution, system turnover, and commissioning workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem solving skills with a proactive, solutions oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced project environment with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and aggressive milestone requirements.
