Benugo - Chef de Partie - Science Museum Manchester

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Chef de Partie to join the team at SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY MUSEUM IN MANCHESTER!
Support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food across our café / Grab & Go offering, as well as events. Help prepare, cook, and present food to Benugo standards, while ensuring all records and procedures are completed. Work closely with the Head Chef to create a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable service for our customers.

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

• 5 day working week
• Mixture of shifts with evenings being the busy periods when there are event bookings

Key Responsibilities

· Grab and Go cafe range / Event support

· Prepare, cook and serve dishes according to recipes and standards.

· Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation.

· Organise mise en place and stock levels for next day.

· Maintain food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards.

· Monitor food waste and assist Head Chef with stock rotation and stock control.

· Ensure smooth service during busy periods.

Required Skills

· Strong cooking and food preparation skills.

· Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Time management and organisational skills.

· Attention to detail and consistency.

· Teamwork and leadership abilities.

· Good communication skills.

· Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie.

· Experience working in a professional kitchen.

· Passion for food and willingness to learn and develop.
