Visitor Experience & Retail Assistant - Belhaven Brewery

Job Description

As a Visitor Experience & Retail Assistant, you will create memorable and enjoyable brewery experiences for every visitor while supporting the smooth operation of the Belhaven Brewery site and shop. Your day-to-day will involve welcoming guests, delivering engaging tours, maintaining retail and cellar standards, and ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently. You’ll play a key role in supporting your team by working collaboratively across departments and contributing to an exceptional visitor offering. 

Qualifications

Your role as Visitor Experience & Retail Assistant...

• Deliver an outstanding visitor experience through meet & greet, guided tours, and storytelling
• Support retail operations including sales, merchandising, and accurate cash handling
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and cellar upkeep (including weekly line cleaning)
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed and visitors are briefed appropriately
• Assist with events, promotions, and general site operations as required

What you’ll bring… 

• Proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within retail, hospitality, or tourism
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, welcoming approach
• Confidence handling cash, using tills/EPOS systems, and delivering sales
• Ability to work flexibly, prioritise tasks, and adapt to different duties
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and support the wider team
