Job Description
MISSION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps to join our IT team.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications. Your focus will be on leveraging Nomad and Kubernetes to optimize our container orchestration and management processes.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure using Nomad and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of applications.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for maximum efficiency.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Automate repetitive tasks and improve system reliability through scripting and configuration management.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Implement Unix/Linux security hardening: sudoers, PAM, SSH, file permissions/ACLs, umask, service exposure, firewall rules, audit logging, account lifecycle, key management, vulnerability remediation and CIS/vendor baseline alignment where applicable.
- Support enterprise authentication and access integration, including LDAP/AD integration, SSSD/realmd where applicable, Kerberos awareness, local break-glass accounts and privileged access procedures.
Qualifications
PROFILE & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong Linux background.
- Expertise in container orchestration and management using Nomad and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Languages
