As a Culinary Coordinator at Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our culinary division through effective coordination, communication, and administrative excellence. Acting as a central point of contact for the culinary team, you will uphold the renowned standards of Raffles and Fairmont by ensuring seamless organization, attention to detail, and efficient support across all culinary functions.
You will contribute to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences by coordinating departmental communications, managing schedules and documentation, facilitating interdepartmental collaboration, and supporting operational initiatives. Through your professionalism, organizational skills, and commitment to excellence, you will help drive the success of our culinary team while reflecting the elegance and service culture of both Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the Culinary Department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, training sessions, and departmental communications for culinary leadership and team members.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, inventories, and documentation in accordance with hotel policies and brand standards.
- Support the preparation and distribution of culinary reports, correspondence, presentations, and operational updates.
- Facilitate effective communication between the culinary team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless collaboration and service delivery.
- Assist in monitoring departmental compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Coordinate onboarding, training documentation, colleague records, and other administrative requirements within the culinary division.
- Manage purchase requests, invoices, supplier documentation, and inventory-related administrative processes in collaboration with Finance and Procurement teams.
- Support culinary projects, events, promotions, and special initiatives by ensuring timely coordination and follow-up.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion at all times.
- Maintain organized filing systems and ensure all departmental records are up to date and readily accessible.
- Contribute to a positive and productive working environment by embodying the values, service excellence, and luxury standards of Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha.
Qualifications
What will you bring to this role?
- Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role within a culinary, food & beverage, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in administrative and operational tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with hotel management systems, procurement platforms, or inventory management software is beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and culinary operations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, and provide proactive support to the culinary leadership team.
