Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Water Supply / Hydraulics Expert to support the planning, design, and delivery of major water infrastructure projects. The role requires strong expertise in hydraulic engineering and the design of large-scale water supply systems, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hydraulic design and analysis of water supply systems, including:
- Transmission mains
- Distribution networks
- Storage reservoirs and associated infrastructure
- Undertake hydraulic modeling, system optimization, and performance assessments.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for design deliverables.
- Review and validate engineering calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Support project planning, feasibility studies, and detailed design phases.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant international codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and stakeholder coordination.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering / Water Engineering, with specialization in Hydraulics or closely related field
Additional Information
- At least 10 years of experience in the design of major water infrastructure systems, including:
- Transmission pipelines
- Water distribution systems
- Storage reservoirs
- Proven experience as a Hydraulics Engineer in at least three (3) projects of similar scale and complexity.
- Demonstrated experience working in similar environmental and project conditions.
- Strong expertise in hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., WaterGEMS, EPANET, InfoWorks, or equivalent).
