Job Description
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing local and international procurement operations, including sourcing, ordering, supplier management, and supply continuity. The role contributes to cost optimization, quality assurance, and reliable material availability while ensuring full compliance with Sika’s procurement standards and ethical guidelines.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities :
- Execute end-to-end procurement activities for local purchases, imported goods, services, and sample orders, ensuring accuracy, cost control, and timely supply.
- Conduct supplier sourcing, evaluation, and development to ensure reliable partnerships and competitive supply conditions.
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, quality requirements, and volumes with existing and potential suppliers.
- Prepare, issue, and validate purchase orders within delegated authority, ensuring full alignment with internal procedures.
- Monitor order progress, delivery timelines, and resolve discrepancies or supplier-related issues (delays, quality claims, documentation gaps).
- Maintain accurate supplier and product master data in the ERP system to support reporting and performance tracking.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and contribute to the improvement of stock accuracy.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and support continuous improvement across procurement processes.
- Track procurement KPIs and provide timely reporting using standard Sika templates.
- Ensure strict compliance with Sika policies, procurement procedures, and applicable legal requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in an operational procurement role.
- Good understanding of procurement processes and supplier negotiations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (preferred) or similar systems for purchase orders, reporting, and master data management.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), professional English required.
- Strong team spirit and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- High integrity and compliance mindset.
