Job Description – SAP EWM SME (10+ Years Experience)

Role: SAP EWM Subject Matter Expert

Role Overview

The SAP EWM SME will be an integral part of the SAP Application Support team, responsible for leading and delivering SAP EWM functional initiatives across implementation, rollout, and support projects. The role requires deep expertise in warehouse processes, strong S/4HANA exposure, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP EWM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver SAP EWM functional solutions across implementation, rollout, and support engagements

• Design, configure, and optimize EWM processes including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, and physical inventory

• Drive requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design aligned with business needs

• Handle complex warehouse scenarios and map them effectively in SAP EWM

• Work on S/4HANA EWM including Fiori apps and advanced warehouse functionalities

• Configure and support Handling Unit Management, POSC, LOSC, WOCR, and PPF frameworks

• Manage integration with QM and PP processes (e.g., QA-managed putaway, PSA-based picking)

• Support key processes like Kanban (1-step & 2-step), Milk Run, replenishment, and repacking (single & multi-level HU)

• Ensure accurate maintenance and governance of EWM master data

• Work on interfaces including RF scanner (Mobisys), qRFC, and IDocs

• Prepare Functional Specifications (FS), test scripts, and End User Training documentation

• Support testing phases (SIT/UAT) and ensure smooth go-live and hypercare

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams using tools like JIRA and Solution Manager

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP EWM design, implementation, and support

Experience in at least two end-to-end implementation (template build, rollout, and support)

Hands-on expertise in core EWM configurations and warehouse process flows

Strong understanding of EWM integration with MM, SD, PP, and QM modules

Exposure to RF framework, warehouse automation, and interface handling

Good knowledge of ABAP debugging (preferred)

Qualifications

• B.E or B.Tech professional

Experience :

• Minimum 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with SAP EWM

• Should have worked in at least one end-to-end Implementation project starting from build and deploy of pilot templates, rollout of templates across regions and support experience
