Senior Full-stack Developer (PHP + Vue.js)

Job Description

• Contribute to the full-scale modernization and renewal of a large legacy PHP application. 
• Implement improvements including mobile responsiveness, CSS enhancements, UI/UX refinements, and overall code quality upgrades. 
• Work on both backend (PHP) and frontend (Vue.js) development. 
• Experience with WordPress CMS or the Laravel framework is recommended 
• Follow a disciplined AI-driven development workflow using tools such as Claude and Codex, with strong human oversight and validation. 
• Write and improve tests, documentation, and ensure changes are stable in a complex, not-fully-documented codebase. 
• Collaborate closely with Bian (who will provide guidance) and other team members to deliver measurable improvements. 
• Identify and implement low-hanging fruit while working toward clear business metrics and ROI. 
• Participate in server migration and DevOps-related tasks when required.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• 4+ years of professional PHP development, with at least 2+ years working hands-on inside large legacy codebases.
• Solid Vue.js experience, or strong React experience and a credible plan to pick up Vue.js quickly.
• Demonstrated full-stack mindset - comfortable moving between back-end logic, front-end behaviour, and the seams between them.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, or similar) in a structured way - you review, test, and own what the tool produces.
• Conversational English — you can discuss technical decisions clearly, understand written requirements, and explain your reasoning to teammates and the client's tech lead.

Bonus Points

• DevOps / SysOps experience, particularly with server migrations.
• Prior experience modernizing or untangling legacy applications end-to-end.
• WordPress CMS or Laravel framework experience.
• Strong instincts for testing strategy and documentation in large codebases.
