About Build
Build is creating the agentic AI stack for the built world. We help institutional real estate teams automate complex development and acquisitions workflows so important projects move from concept to completion faster, with less cost, delay, and operational drag.
Our customers include some of the largest institutions in the world: alternative asset investors, hyperscale developers, infrastructure owners, energy companies, and public-sector partners. We are backed by Tier 1 VC and angels/C-suite from from Palantir, OpenAI, Blackstone, and Google DeepMind.
About the role
We are not looking for someone to fill a seat. We are looking for someone who sees what Build is building, knows where they fit, and wants to come in and make that contribution real.
"If you have to ask what the role is, it probably isn't for you. If you already know, come and talk to us."
Build is at a stage where the right person can define a function, own a relationship, or unlock a capability that we haven't fully articulated yet. If you've built something before, you know what that moment looks like and what it requires.
We are particularly interested in people who have operated at the intersection of AI, real estate, infrastructure, or complex enterprise services. But we will not rule out anyone who makes a compelling case for why they belong here.
You might be a good fit if you
Founded or co-founded something that had traction
Have an extremely unconventional background that led you to startups
Are technical enough to work directly with AI systems and evaluate what good looks like
Thrive when the playbook doesn't exist and you have to write it
Move fast, communicate clearly, and don't need to be told what to do next
Are genuinely curious about the built world, not just AI in the abstract
Have strong opinions about quality and won't let things ship below the bar
Have a love for the built world that goes far beyond Build as a company
You will not be a good fit if you
Need a defined role, clear reporting lines, and a predictable roadmap
Want to advise rather than execute
Are not comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and owning the outcome
Think the built world is just a market vertical, not one of the most important problems of the next decade
