Job Description
We are seeking an International International Senior Road Design Engineer for an upcoming AIIB-funded rural road rehabilitation program to support the Ministry of Rural Development on feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, and safeguard preparation across six provinces in Cambodia.
Duties and Responsibilities
The expert shall:
- Lead road engineering design activities.
- Supervise topographic surveys and traffic investigations.
- Review and establish design criteria.
- Prepare horizontal and vertical alignments.
- Develop preliminary and detailed road designs.
- Coordinate pavement, drainage, and safety design integration.
- Review axle load data and traffic forecasts.
- Prepare drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical reports.
- Support preparation of procurement documents.
- Integrate road safety and climate resilience measures.
- Ensure designs comply with Cambodian standards and AIIB requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in highway and rural road design.
- Extensive experience in asphalt, DBST, and concrete pavement road projects.
- Experience in geometric design, alignment optimization, and climate-resilient road engineering.
- Experience with international design standards and MDB-funded projects.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D or equivalent design software.
- Experience in Southeast Asia preferred.
