Job Description

Role Purpose

As Account Manager for the Mercedes-Benz account, you will support international sales, project, and series business activities across the full customer lifecycle. The role focuses on commercial coordination, customer portal management, order and budget tracking, change management, reporting, and back-office support to ensure smooth execution and strong customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support RFQ reviews, quotation preparation, and commercial coordination for serial parts and new business opportunities
  • Manage sales and project-related topics in internal systems such as ProKOSTAL, SAP CRM, and SAP
  • Monitor customer orders, budgets, pricing, and one-time payment processes to ensure commercial accuracy
  • Own commercial customer change management, including change requests, budget setup, SAP sales order creation, and payment follow-up
  • Manage run-out processes end-to-end in SAP, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and alignment with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain 3rd-party pricing and coordinate deviations with customers and internal price management teams
  • Lead customer portal activities, including offer creation, requirement checks, user administration, and capacity updates
  • Track overdue payments and coordinate follow-up with subsidiaries and relevant stakeholders
  • Analyze production equipment and commercial data to identify risks, deviations, and opportunities for improved planning
  • Prepare, coordinate, and document customer meetings, workshops, reports, minutes, and follow-up actions
  • Translate business documents between German and English
  • Serve as the main contact person for back-office-related topics for the Mercedes-Benz account

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
    • Alternatively, completed commercial vocational training with relevant experience

    Experience

    • 3–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Account Support, or Commercial Operations in an international business environment
    • Strong background in managing end-to-end commercial processes, such as RFQs, quotations, change management, and order-related activities
    • Experience working across functions, including Sales, Pricing, Finance, Operations, and subsidiaries
    • Good understanding of sales processes, customer requirements, and commercial workflows
    • Ideally, experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with customer-specific requirements and portals
    • Hands-on experience with SAP, SAP CRM, and MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
    • Fluent in English and German
