Job Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer supports R&D projects by evaluating development deliverables, monitoring compliance with project quality requirements, and driving process assurance activities aligned with ASPICE / Automotive SPICE. This role works closely with engineering teams to strengthen development quality, improve process compliance, and support continuous improvement across the product development lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities
- Evaluate all project deliverables and relevant R&D activities to assess quality status.
- Verify that project deliverables meet defined quality criteria.
- Advise the R&D team on achieving project quality objectives.
- Monitor the planning and execution of quality assurance activities.
- Evaluate process compliance and ensure completion of the required project quality assurance report (QA Report) deliverables.
- Measure the use and effectiveness of stages to support ASPICE process improvement activities and methods.
- Plan and facilitate lessons learned workshops based on R&D quality status.
- Collaborate and perform activities in accordance with industrial safety guidelines within the plant.
- Maintain a general understanding of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
- Advanced English is required; German is considered a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D.
- At least 1 year of experience in ASPICE consulting, assessment, evaluation, or management.
- Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or electronics industries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ASPICE / Automotive SPICE is required.
- Experience with related software tools is considered an advantage.
