Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer supports R&D projects by evaluating development deliverables, monitoring compliance with project quality requirements, and driving process assurance activities aligned with ASPICE / Automotive SPICE. This role works closely with engineering teams to strengthen development quality, improve process compliance, and support continuous improvement across the product development lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities

• Evaluate all project deliverables and relevant R&D activities to assess quality status.
• Verify that project deliverables meet defined quality criteria.
• Advise the R&D team on achieving project quality objectives.
• Monitor the planning and execution of quality assurance activities.
• Evaluate process compliance and ensure completion of the required project quality assurance report (QA Report) deliverables.
• Measure the use and effectiveness of stages to support ASPICE process improvement activities and methods.
• Plan and facilitate lessons learned workshops based on R&D quality status.
• Collaborate and perform activities in accordance with industrial safety guidelines within the plant.
• Maintain a general understanding of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
• Advanced English is required; German is considered a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D.
• At least 1 year of experience in ASPICE consulting, assessment, evaluation, or management.
• Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or electronics industries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASPICE / Automotive SPICE is required.
• Experience with related software tools is considered an advantage.
