Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Senior Business Analyst, who will:

  • Lead and oversee the Business Analysts and Data Analysts to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and strategic value of site reporting and business analysis
  • Provide executive-level decision support to the Asset President, Senior Site Leaders, and Center Office through high-quality reporting, financial modelling, and performance analysis
  • Ensure effective facilitation and continuous improvement of site management systems, including the Didipio Safe Production Meeting and other structured performance forums, driving alignment, accountability, and measurable uplift across the asset.

This role reports to the Manager - Business Improvement & Optimization / Project Manager - Underground Operations and Transformation.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Leads cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives aligned to strategic priorities, ensuring measurable business impact
  • Establishes and governs structured frameworks, tools, and standards for sustainable process optimization
  • Accomplishes all necessary tasks in the preparation of budget proposals
  • Consolidates and organizes records of all previous budget plans and corresponding budget utilization
  • Utilize project management software to create and manage project plans

Qualifications

  • Amenable to be based in Nueva Vizcaya

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, or Metallurgy

Work Experience and Background:

  • Exposure in underground mining environment

Knowledge:

  • Mining operations and cost drivers
  • Financial modelling and capital evaluation
  • Business case development
  • Corporate governance and reporting standards

Skills:

  • Executive-level written and verbal communication
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytics
  • Presentation development for senior audiences
  • Stakeholder management

Abilities:

  • Translate complex data into strategic insights
  • Influence without authority
  • Manage competing priorities under pressure
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional judgment
