Mobile Maintenance Technician - Lead

Job Description

We are looking for skilled lead technician to join our team at Haile Gold Mine. You will play a crucial role helping ensure efficient repairs and maintenance of our mining equipment, contributing to the success of our operations.

Lead technician duties and responsibilities:

• Train and mentor junior techs, fostering a culture of safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Read and interpret diagnostic tools.  
• Read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Vast knowledge of tooling
• Follow troubleshooting diagrams.
• Establish priorities and adjust in fast-paced environment.
• Maintain tooling and shop equipment.
• Support supervisor in tasks and fill in during supervisors’ absence.
• Help with extensive repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment technician
• Strong leadership skills and ability to guide a team efficiently.
• Proficiency or computer skills in diagnostic tools and software such as CAT SIS, CAT ET, Cummins Insite
• Commitment to safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see.
• Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
• Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
