Job Description
We are seeking an innovative and detail‑oriented R&D Electrical & Electronic Engineer to join our air‑to‑water heat pump development design team in Vacarisses, Spain. As a key member of our research and development department, you will play a crucial role in driving technological advancements and product innovation.
The role will involve activities within the scope of R&D, including:
- Conceptualization, specification, and development of new electrical and electronic designs for air‑to‑water heat pump systems.
- Follow‑up, validation, and technical approval of prototypes and their electrical/electronic performance in various laboratory environments, in collaboration with our R&D Centre in Aveiro (Portugal).
The main areas of responsibility will include:
- Electrical design of power distribution, protection devices, wiring harnesses, and connection schemes.
- Electronic design and integration of control boards, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
- Preparation, review, and validation of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electronic circuit layouts.
- Selection and integration of electrical, electromechanical, and electronic components, ensuring compliance with safety and product performance requirements.
- Collaboration with control and embedded system teams to ensure seamless interaction between electrical systems, electronic hardware, and regulation strategies.
- Contribution to product specifications from both electrical and electronic perspectives, covering safety, reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
The role also requires knowledge, monitoring, and assimilation of the technical regulations applicable to electrical and electronic product design, including compliance with European standards (LVD, EMC, EN/IEC safety standards) and certification programs.
The candidate must be able to take ownership of responsibilities, demonstrate sound judgement and initiative across the different work areas, and be capable of assessing both the feasibility of new electrical/electronic designs and the outcomes of validation tests for final approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Proficiency in simulation software (Matlab, Simulink, etc...).
- Experience with data analysis and statistical methods.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering design principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work on‑site in Vacarisses, Spain.
- Understanding of the product development lifecycle.
- Innovative mindset with a passion for technological advancements.
- Advanced English level, enabling independent technical discussions with international teams.
