Job Description

  • Play a hands-on role in month-end finance processes, including creditors, fixed assets, and debtors reconciliations, helping to keep our financial records accurate and up to date.
  • Be at the center of daily finance operations by receiving, reviewing, logging, and routing incoming correspondence, payment requests, and invoices efficiently.
  • Review supporting documents, including expense acquittals, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for posting.
  • Support annual statutory and project audits by helping prepare and provide the documentation needed for smooth audit processes.
  • Contribute to regular fixed asset verification exercises and help maintain a current, accurate Fixed Asset Register.
  • Assist with vehicle management activities, including log sheet reviews and fuel reconciliations.
  • Help maintain well-organized finance records by filing supporting documentation systematically.
  • Support the team with accurate and timely data entry.
  • Assist in preparing month-end financial reports and summaries.
  • Help follow up on outstanding receivables, including staff receivables, to support effective cash flow management.
  • Assist in compiling and checking monthly fuel consumption reports.
  • Support the receiving and recording of deliveries as part of day-to-day operations.
  • Take on additional learning opportunities and responsibilities assigned by the Finance Administrator.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance/ Accounting 
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • Good knowledge of finance ERP systems. SAP system knowledge is an added advantage.

  • Contract type: Fixed term contract – 100% (40 hours per week)
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Duty station: Harare, Zimbabwe
