Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Scheduler to join our Coffs Harbour team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating daily transport activities to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries to customers.
You will be responsible for planning delivery schedules, maximising fleet utilisation, coordinating with drivers and internal teams, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving logistical challenges, and delivering operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily delivery runs across local and regional areas
- Coordinate drivers, vehicles, and delivery priorities to maximise efficiency
- Monitor delivery performance and proactively manage schedule changes
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery schedules and service updates
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and transport regulations
- Maintain accurate transport records, manifests, and delivery documentation
- Monitor fleet utilisation and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels
- Assist with transport reporting, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Previous experience in transport scheduling, dispatch, logistics, or fleet coordination
- Strong understanding of transport operations and delivery planning
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Sound computer skills and experience using transport or ERP systems
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management requirements highly regarded
