For our Traction Power Systems site in Prague, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen our engineering team.
Projects are typically smaller in scope, tailored to specific customer requirements and focused on configuration and engineering changes of existing solutions.
The goal is always the same: deliver a solution that is technically correct, manufacturable and ready for implementation.
In this role, you will:
· Design mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
- Create complete manufacturing and assembly documentation, including drawings for suppliers
- Adapt and configure existing mechanical solutions for customer projects
- Work on engineering and change requests across several smaller projects in parallel
- Maintain and manage technical data in ERP system (Oracle)
- Cooperate closely with electrical and software engineers, production, purchasing, quality and project management
- Support projects throughout execution and implementation
- Communicate regularly with the team and customers in English
Requirements
What are we looking for:
- High school or university degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design / engineering
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles
- Strong experience with 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred)
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks
- Comfortable working on multiple smaller projects rather than one long R&D assignment
- Fluent English (main working language) with Czech as a strong advantage
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering would be a strong advantage
