Sécheron Hasler Group builds on over 140 years of Swiss expertise in railway technology. We are a global supplier of electrical and electronic safety components, traction power systems, and solutions for rail, energy, and industrial applications, with more than 1,200 employees worldwide.

We’re looking for a hands-on PLC Software Engineer who enjoys working close to real technology — turning electrical designs into functional automation systems and bringing them to life in the field.

You’ll work with PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and real industrial equipment, not just code. From configuration and programming to testing and commissioning, you’ll be part of the full lifecycle of our solutions used in railway and energy systems.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Programming and configuring PLC systems (focus on logic rather than heavy coding)
  • Translating electrical schematics into program logic
  • Creating and adjusting basic HMI interfaces (operator touch panels)
  • Performing simulations, testing, and debugging
  • Providing test support, including setup and troubleshooting (PLC/HMI diagnostics, network components, software adjustments)
  • Supporting commissioning, both in-house and at customer sites
  • Collaborating with commissioning engineers and the wider team
  • Adapting solutions based on customer requirements
  • Designing, testing and adjusting communication protocols of Sécheron systems and their integration into customers SCADA systems (no deep SCADA expertise required)

Requirements

  • High school / university degree in Automation / Programming/IT
  • Practical experience and knowledge of HMI/PLC
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and translate them into logic connections
  • Basic knowledge of industrial communication protocols and their use
  • Communicative English (B2 or higher) mandatory and German as an advantage
  • Driving license

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a similar position is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Network architecture (programmable switch)
  • Experience with traction power systems

Benefits

What we offer:

  • Stable background of an international engineering company
  • Work on real industrial systems with global use
  • Professional onboarding and further training
  • Professional training
  • Flexible working hours
  • 13 salary, transport allowance, meal vouchers, pension plan contribution
  • 5 weeks of vacation and other….

Interested?

If you’re interested in industrial automation and want to see your work running in real systems, we’ll be happy to hear from you. Please respond via this application and attach your CV in English.
